Beyond Banners: Visual Arts for Worship
Visual arts remind us of God’s presence among us. Why not step outside of the box and invite Sunday school classes, women’s and men’s small groups or even a newly formed Visual Arts team to create more inviting visual art for inside the sanctuary and beyond. Traditional banners can be replaced by rainbow murals, piles of stones, flowing sheets of material, doves, and so much more. Creating visual arts to enhance worship involves a intentional kind of biblical and creative discovery. Blending scripture and art seeks to offer worshippers a multi-sensory experience beyond words and music in worship.
